Standalone units: FEDS offers four units which the majority of schools are accredited to assess. These units are written with an automotive focus but include key work and life skills. Many schools deliver these units to students across different curriculum areas.
Numeracy pack: FEDS have embedded a numeracy unit into three workbooks. The aim of this is to give students the opportunity to complete unit standard 26623 within a vocational context. This combined pack of three workbooks covers four unit standards and totals 13 NCEA credits.
Unit 26623 counts towards the 10 numeracy credits required for NCEA level 1.
NB. FEDS can mark and assess these units if preferred.
FEDS provides a wide range of automotive resources at levels 2 and 3 to Training Providers throughout New Zealand.
Providers that purchase FEDS workbooks are given access to the secure area of FEDS website where assessment materials, answer banks and literacy tasks can be downloaded.
To login providers need to contact the FEDS office to receive a password.
N.B. all assessments need to be pre-moderated by the provider before use.
